2007 Billboard Promotion . . .
After
a five year hiatus, the Farm Animal Council of Saskatchewan (FACS)
is proud to announce another unique provincial billboard campaign. Originally launched in 1996 and continued until 2001,
their creative efforts attracted media and interest from across
the prairies.
This
year's campaign showcases responsible, progressive young producers in Saskatchewan's
livestock and poultry industries. "At
a time when only 3% of the Canadian population have direct ties
to the family farm, it is important to connect with the urban
population by giving them a glimpse of some of our young
producers involved in modern agriculture, " states long
time Executive Director Adele Buettner.
FACS'
past
campaigns have all been unique and very successful.
However, this
campaign is a first for animal agriculture as it collectively
showcases producers from a variety of industries from egg to
equine.
Sixteen boards will be on display across Saskatchewan during May
2007. A total of six different designs, as
shown below, showcases young producers actively involved and
dedicated to the livestock or poultry industries. Listed beside each design are the locations of the billboards.
